The first message you'll get from DATIS will be a request to "reset" your password. It will look similar to the image here. You need to click Sign In to e3 (here or in the email) and log in to your account within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving the email.
Enter the temporary password on the second page.
To-Do List
The first time you log in to DATIS, please click MY e3 at the top and complete these three tasks:
Update your W4 (the bottom red square shown here). If this is not done, your paycheck may have excessive withholdings.
Verify or update your Direct Deposit information (the middle red square). Make sure the bank account and amount are correct.
Verify or update your Account details. This includes notification settings and your personal info (the top red square
Update Your W4
Update your W4 immediately to ensure that your paycheck remains accurate.
When you click on the W4 link on the dashboard, you'll go to a page that has both a Federal Withholding Certificate and a State Withholding Certificate.
Under Federal Withholding Certificate, click the orange button that says "Fill out a new W4." That section will show you the whole W4 (click the image here to see the expanded version).
Enter your filing status and fill out any other sections that apply to you. Then press Submit at the bottom of the form.
Verify/Update your Direct Deposit information
This is also critical to ensuring that you receive accurate pay.
Use the Direct Deposit link on the dashboard. Check that that your account and routing number(s) are accurate, and that the Amount field is correct.
If you need to make changes, click the pencil icon (or Add New Account, if the account is not present).
Notes:
If you select "All" as the percentage you want to deposit, it will actually be entered as a "partial" deposit of 100%.
To save changes, press Update at the bottom of the form.
Whenever you make changes, you will receive an email notifying you of changes to your Direct Deposit at all emails you have configured in your Account settings.
Verify/Update your Account details
The Account page contains your notification preferences and all your personal info.
Personal Preferences
Personal Preferences are updated automatically when changed (you will see a notification in a green box at the top right).
Notify When Pay Stub is Available: If set to Yes, will send an email to your Personal Email when a paystub is available.
e3 Timeout (minutes): This is how long you can remain logged into the e3 site before being logged out (maximum 60 minutes/1 hour).
Receive an Electronic W-2: If set to Yes, will send an email to your Personal Email when a W2 is available.
Receive Electronic 1095-C: If set to Yes, will send an email to your Personal Email when a 1095-C is available.
Share your birthday and month with peers: If set to Yes, will allow administrators to pull your birth date for informational purposes. It does not show your birth date to other users.
Email Address
If you make changes to Email Address, be sure to click the Update button when you're done.
Corporate Email: This is your username and the official email on file with ASN. You will need to contact Human Resources if you want to change this value. Password reset notifications and all notifications not sent to your personal email will go to this address.
Personal Email: You will receive pay stub notifications and W2s at this address, as well as other notifications. You can change this email as needed.
Home Address
If you make changes to Home Address, be sure to click the Update button when you're done.
This is the address that is used by HR for payroll, benefits, and W2 information.
Phone Numbers
You can add any phone numbers here, and mark them as "shared" or "not shared."
Contacts
Please add at least one Emergency Contact.
Password
If you update your Password, be sure to click the Update button when you're done.
Preferred Name
If you update your Preferred Name, be sure to click the Update button when you're done.
This is the name which is displayed to other (non-admin) users in DATIS.
